Understanding and Managing Access to Request Cards

Introduction

This article aims to provide clarity on the management of access to request cards in our tax software. A request card refers to a tax audit verification or a general request from SARS. This guide will help you understand how to create, assign, and manage access to these request cards.

Creating and Assigning Request Cards

Users have the ability to create a request card manually. Once a request card is created, the creator has full access to the card. The creator can also assign access to other users by adding them to the card. This allows for collaboration and shared responsibility among team members.

Please Note:

However, please note that currently, there is no overarching role that provides automatic access to all request cards. Access is granted on a card-by-card basis, either by the creator of the card or by a user who was previously assigned to the card.

Managing Access to Existing Request Cards

If a request card has already been created and you wish to give access to another user, you can do so by assigning the card to them. Once assigned, the new user can manage the card and further assign access if needed.

Access to Automatically Generated Request Cards

In some cases, a request card may be automatically generated based on received correspondence and linked to a filing card. In such instances, access to the request card is granted to all users who have access to the linked filing card. This means that if you have access to a filing card, you will automatically have access to any request card that is created and linked to that filing card.

Conclusion

We hope this guide provides clarity on managing access to request cards in our tax software. We understand the need for more flexible access settings and are continually working to improve our software to better meet your needs.
