Ethan will almost always provide a breakdown of all the different ID's (Account, Company, Tax Filings etc.)
He will also provide the Time which the submission was done or attempted - this Time is essential.
If Ethan provides the time, these are the steps to follow:
- Sign into Azure, and search from [....prodevlog/tables/(The Date in which the submission was done)]:
- When it comes to submissions, the table you are looking for is "SARS[Date of Submission]", for this example we will use 20250127:
- Next - open the table, and once it has loaded, it is time to run a query. This query is used to filter the table - the query will involve the accountID, and the Time which was provided. It is important to note that the time will cover a range generally 5 minutes before and after the time frame provided, this sometimes may need to be extended. It will look like the following:
- Run the query, and then order it by "Timestamp" by clicking the column name: 0
- Search through every row until you find the correct Corresponding time.
- This is where it gets tedious - you need to go row-by-row and double-click on each one.
- This will open up all the details about the row:
- Scroll-down until you find a row named "parameters0":
- Copy what is in the corresponding value, and paste it into the decryption tool and click "Decrypt":
- Within the message displayed under "Result" will be the exact error message that is being spat out. Sort through each row and decrypt every parameter until you find the correct error. Within the Result message will be the tax registration number, the tax filing ID, company ID, accountID etc. Use these values to find the matching one with whatever filing/company/account you are looking for in order to ensure you have the right error message.
- Chat to Ethan about the error message you found to gain better inisght and clarity.
