Konsise Software Release – Version 19.8.3 (14 March 2025)

At Konsise, we are committed to continually enhancing our platform to streamline user tax management and compliance. Our latest release, Version 19.8.3, introduces a significant new feature and dashboard improvement designed to improve communication and tax return tracking.

Introducing the Communications Module

A highly requested feature by our tax practitioner customers, the new Communications Module enables direct email communication from Konsise to clients. In this first iteration, users can send notifications regarding:

• IRP6 for individual entity types – This feature supports communications about approving IRP6 submissions and payment execution for this specific tax and entity type.
• Initiation options—Emails can be sent at both the individual card level and in bulk, ensuring flexibility and efficiency in communication.

Why is this important?

With the introduction of this module, Konsise achieves functional parity with other tax solutions in the market, many of which already offer built-in communication tools. This development is particularly beneficial for tax practitioners and accounting firms transitioning from other tax platforms who have expressed a strong demand for this capability. Future updates will expand the module to support additional tax types and entity structures, further enhancing its utility.

Enhanced Dashboard Improvement: Outstanding Corporate Tax Returns

Tracking corporate tax return submissions just got easier. In response to feedback from our users, we have enhanced our Outstanding Corporate Tax Returns dashboard. Previously, this dashboard only included integrated entities. Now, it provides a comprehensive view of both integrated and non-integrated entities.

This improvement has been introduced as a separate dashboard titled “Outstanding Corporate Tax Returns—All Entities” to ensure minimal disruption to existing workflows.

Why is this important?

This feature was developed to meet the needs of some of our larger clients who manage tax return submissions across a wide range of entities, including African subsidiaries and collective investment schemes. As these entities are not integrated with SARS via Konsise, tracking their compliance was challenging. With this new view, tax teams can now report on corporate tax submissions at an audit committee level more accurately and efficiently.
