How to setup default apps on your computer
In order to correctly view any SARS Correspondence downloaded from Konsise, you need to use a pdf reader.
Download Adobe here: https://get.adobe.com/reader/
In your Windows menu, go to Settings
From the menu on the left, select Apps. From the Apps menu on the right, select Default apps
On the Default apps page, you can either:
- Set a default for a file type or link type, or
- Set defaults for application
Both setting options will be explained below
Set a default for a file type or link type
In the search bar, enter the file type (.pdf)
Click on the + to Choose a default
A box of all available apps will appear. Select the pdf viewer that you have installed (in this case Adobe):
Your pdf viewer (Adobe) is now listed as your default app for .pdf documents.
Set defaults for application
This option allows you to set a default for a specific application (i.e. Google Chrome)
In the search bar, search for Google Chrome and select option
For “Set default file types or link types”, scroll to .pdf file type and click + to choose a default
A box of all available apps will appear. Select the pdf viewer that you have installed (in this case Adobe):
Your pdf viewer (Adobe) is now listed as your default app for .pdf documents.
