Welcome to our first update of 2026. As we kick off the new year, our development team has focused on two core themes: readiness and integration. With the provisional tax season looming, we have fortified our Tax Management module to handle high-volume workflows while introducing powerful CIPC data validation in Entity Management to streamline how you onboard and manage corporate data.

Tax Management: Primed for Provisional Season

The focus for this release was ensuring that your communication channels and data reporting are seamless before the end of the January rush. We’ve refined the tools you use daily to ensure that as the workload increases, your manual effort decreases.

Precision in Reporting and Correspondence

We understand that for accounting firms, clarity is everything when dealing with SARS. To give you better oversight of your client base, we’ve enhanced the Tax Filing Master Data Report by adding contact details for both individuals and companies directly into the report view.

Furthermore, based on valuable feedback from our power users, we have added a Document Title field to the SARS Correspondence report in your Inbox. SARS letters often contain complex headings and sub-headings; this new field captures those nuances, giving you an immediate understanding of a document’s context without needing to open every file.

Streamlined Client Communications

Bulk processing is the backbone of a successful tax season. We have adjusted our Client Communications logic to ensure payment emails are triggered reliably, whether you submit via bulk actions or card payments. To help you navigate the interface even faster, we’ve also introduced new keyboard shortcuts, a small change that makes a significant difference during high-volume periods.

Vital Bug Fixes & Stability

In preparation for IRP6 filings, we have cleared several hurdles to ensure data integrity:

• IRP6 Refinements: We have resolved all issues relating to Date of Birth validation, ETI value displays post-submission, and decimal rounding discrepancies.
• Data Consistency: The "Normalise date" bug for EMP201 has been fixed, and we’ve resolved an issue where contact information was not refreshing after an update.
• System Connections: We fixed integration bugs that occurred when selecting integration companies, ensuring your data flows correctly between platforms.

Entity Management: Automated Accuracy

The Entity Management module receives a significant boost in this version, particularly in how you pull data from official sources and manage complex share structures.

CIPC Data Search

The headline feature for this update is the Company Creation from CIPC data. You can now add a new company simply by searching the CIPC database using a registration number. This not only saves time but ensures that the foundational data in Konsise is 100% accurate from the moment of creation. Additionally, we have added a dedicated Company Changes section and the ability to calculate Trust URN numbers, further centralising your compliance tasks within a single dashboard.

Enhanced Data Granularity

We’ve made several improvements to how entity data is captured and displayed:

• Trust Registrations: To align with standard formatting, Trust Registration Numbers are now split into two distinct fields: the numeric reference and the year.
• Field Verification of Tax Number: You can now compare and update the tax number captured in Konsise against the official tax number for the company, ensuring no discrepancies exist.
• Share Transactions: You now have the ability to edit prior share transactions to correct historical data.

Essential Maintenance

We’ve addressed several back-end bugs to keep your registers clean:

• Fixed incorrect totals in the Shareholding Register.
• Resolved "Many to Many" relationship bugs and beneficial owner display issues.
• Ensured that deleted entities no longer appear in selection menus, keeping your workspace uncluttered.

These updates are now live and ready to use. Our goal remains to make Konsise the most reliable partner for your practice as you head into the busiest months of the year.
